Q. What is the standard lead time for delivery of kit roofs?

A. classic roofs are divided into two categories, flat pack and pre-assembled. Flat pack roofs have a lead time of 5 working days from receipt of signed confirmation (must be before 4pm or carries forward to the next working day) and Pre assembled roofs have a turn around of 7 working days. This is subject to our standard delivery days to different areas of the country E.G. if a flat pack roof was signed off on a Monday but delivery in the area is only on a Wednesday, then delivery would be the following Wednesday. We would be happy to confirm what days our drivers are in your area.

Q. This is urgent, is there any chance you can put the roof on a carrier?

A. Unfortunately we cannot use carriers for our roofs as our vehicles are set out specifically to transport our products without causing damage. As some of our roof components are fragile in transit we are not able to offer this service as previous attempts have always resulted in damaged products.

Q. What is the difference between flat pack and pre assembled roofs?

A. the majority of the roofs we manufacture can be flat packed, this means that our computer systems can accurately calculate all components of the roof (including glass / polycarbonate sizes). More complex roofs require manual building and cutting in the factory to ensure accuracy, in addition it is not always possible to calculate glazing sizes so they are hand measured in the factory.

Q. What is the guarantee on your roofing systems

A. All kit roofs are guaranteed structurally for 10 years, for claddings it varies, depending on the finish

Full Wendland roofs are guaranteed for 10 years.

  • classic white roofs are guaranteed for 10 years.
  • All foiled products are guaranteed for 5 years.
  • Plain brown products are not guaranteed at all against colour fade.
  • Ancillary products are guaranteed for 1 year unless otherwise stated (some fans have a two year warranty).

Q. What is the widest Victorian/Georgian/Lean to roof that can be made without a portal?

A. There are no actual set rules for any of our roofing systems as there are many factors we take in to consideration e.g. glazing material, rafter spacing’s, pitch and site post codes. The only way to know for sure is to send us a drawing of your roof design and we would be happy to look at it for you.

Q. I have a problem with a conservatory roof on site, is it possible to get someone to come and have a look at it?

A. We do offer a site assistance service however this is only offered as a last resort, There is on average, a minimum of a 2 - 3 week wait for this although this can, in busy periods, be up to a month. There is also a charge for this service of £250 +VAT. This is payable in advance and will be refunded if the issue in question is the result of a product fault. In many cases a site visit is not necessary and we would be happy to take some details off you so one of our technical support team can contact you and help you further.

Q. Can you give me a quote over the phone for a conservatory roof please?

A. Unfortunately we cannot provide roof quotations over the phone but if you fax your roof details to 0843 208 6944, we will fax a quote to you within 24 hours.

Q. Can you provide structural calculation for my conservatory roof?

A. If the roof has been fabricated by, or is on order with Ultraframe then we can provide the calculations. We will fax you a copy of our topography sheet which you will need to complete and return along with the relevant order number. If the roof is an Ultraframe roof but not supplied from us then there is a charge of £250 + VAT and we would need a detailed roof plan along with the topography sheet. The turnaround for the calculation is 10 working days.

Q. Can you provide details for my new customers roof as they purchased it from an installation company which has since gone bust?

A. We can as long as the homeowner has all the relevant details pertaining to their roof (proof of purchase, job reference and/or Ultraframe job number) and we are satisfied that the installation company has gone bust. If the roof was manufactured via one of our fabricator companies then we will try and point you in the right direction.
